Manaslu, the eighth highest mountain in the World is a part of the Mansiri Himal in the Nepal Himalayas. The mountain’s long ridges & valley glaciers offer feasible approaches from all directions & culminate in a peak that towers steeply above its surrounding landscape & is a dominant feature when viewed from afar.
This is a full service expedition with a Western Guide-Manager offering the best balance of quality & value. Manaslu has not previously extensively been offered as a commercial peak, however for the autumn season, it is the best alternate.
During this expedition the team will be supported by a 1:2 Sherpa to climber ratio. Team members can travel independently in groups or pairs lower on the mountain & will have Sherpas to accompany them at all times above camp three. All of our Sherpas are +8,000m experienced & all have reached the summit of Manaslu.
Climbing Manaslu requires more time than other 8000m peaks in Nepal due to long approach to reach to the base of the mountain. However, we can use a helicopter to make an expedition shorter. . There will be a few stretches of steep climbing and crevasses from Camp I to Camp II. Slippery snow climbing is required from Camp II to Camp III. Avalanches are a threat from Camp III to Camp IV.
