Mount Everest is the highest mountain on Earth. Located in the home location of Everest is the Mahalangur Himalayan range of the Great Himalayas. It arises exactly on the border line of Nepal and Tibet (27°59’ North latitude, 86°55’ East longitudes) in the southern part of Asia.

After four long and arduous years of unscrambling mathematical data, Radhanath Sickdhar had managed to find out the height of Peak Fifteen, an icy peak in the Himalayas between Tibet – Nepal border, it was discovered to be the world’s highest mountain in 1856 by the Survey Department of the Government of India,

The mountain Like other high peaks in the region, she has long been revered name by local peoples. Its collet most common Sherpa name, Chomolungma, means “Goddess Mother of the World” or “Goddess of the Valley.” The Nepali name was Sagarmatha means literally “Peak of Heaven.” Later christened named Mount Everest after Sir George Everest, the surveyor general of India – stood at 29,002 feet (8,840 meters). There is deferent believe of the high Earth’s highest mountain. Its peak is 8,848 meters (29,029 ft.) above sea level in 2005, China premeasured the height of the mountain and got a result of 8844.43 m of between ice & rock level.

Tenzing Norgay Sherpa & Edmund Hillary Ten more expeditions over a period of thirty years failed to conquer Everest, with 13 losing their lives. Then, on May 29, 1953, Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, an acclaimed Sherpa climber & Edmund Hillary, a New Zealand beekeeper became the first to reach the roof of the world. It is First climbers confirmed to have reached the summit of Mount Everest. They were part of the ninth British expedition to Everest, led by John Hunt time magazine named Hillary one of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century.

Sedimentary Layers Form Most of Everest. The sedimentary rock layers found on Mount Everest are limestone, marble, shale, and polite those are divided into rock formations; below them are older rocks including granite, pegmatite intrusions, and gneiss, a metamorphic rock.

 

Sherpas

Sherpas are Nepalese ethnic groups of the Himalayan resign. They are renowned for their climbing skills and superior strength and endurance at high altitudes. Perhaps the most famous Sherpa was Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, who in 1953 was one of the first men who reached on roof of the Earth.

The Sherpas are local people who are highly skilled and experienced climbers. They are help to do things such as prepare the route for foreign climbers to follow to the top, fixing ropes in place, and carry the necessary climbing kit up the mountain. Climbing Everest is tough and being a Sherpa is a really risky job.  They are quickly acclimatizing them body to the high altitude.
